A big thank you to Paul Juhnke from LAKEMAC Mini Excavator Hire who has just completed stage 1 of our garden area at Warabrook.
ConnectAbility successfully applied for a grant last year through the Stronger Together Program supported by our local member Sharon Claydon. ConnectAbility had raised half of the funds required and the grant has provided the additional funds needed to complete the area. So far we now have a beautifully level and grassed area and a small dry creek bed that houses a mosaic completed by our customers some years ago.
People enjoyed morning tea in the space for the first time today. It is going to be a wonderful spot to sit. Shortly the raised garden beds, water tank and furniture will be delivered. We can then commence growing produce to use and we can invite our neighbours to share in a lovely lunch spot.
Thank you Paul for all your hard work, advice, ideas and support for what we are trying to achieve.
