On Friday, 14 March 2025, 110 Novocastrians teed off for a day of golf and community spirit to support ConnectAbility at the Newcastle Office Interiors (NOI) Charity Golf Day!
Despite a foggy start, energy levels soared as the sun rose, leading to a fantastic day of golf, networking, auctions, and the legendary dino races. Thanks to the generosity of sponsors, donors and participants, the event raised $20,000 which will go towards enhancing kitchen facilities to support skill-building and independence for ConnectAbility’s 1,780 customers.
Newcastle Office Interiors Managing Director Jock Whyte shared, “We are proud to continue supporting this fantastic organisation and cause as the long-time event major sponsor. We believe in giving back to the community and have already promised to be the major sponsor for next five years as we strongly believe in the work they do.”
Thank you to our incredible sponsors, including Newcastle Office Interiors, Dynamic Business Technologies, Andersen Pest Services, DABS Plumbing, as well as the amazing hole sponsors including Adept-IT Solutions, Carpet Diem Newcastle, City and Regional Cleaning Management, Jez web, JD Electrician, NewVo Communications, Smallman Security.
Thank you also to prize sponsors Drummond Golf Newcastle, Camplify, Cheeky Bikes, City Cave Mayfield, Hunter Valley Tours, Steel and Anchor, Drummond Golf, Hungerford Hills winery, Rippit Golf, Nutrition Warehouse Kotara, Weber Store, and Harvey Norman Kotara.
The NOI Charity Golf Day has become a staple event for local businesses looking to give back. ConnectAbility CEO David Carey expressed his gratitude, saying “The support from our business community makes all the difference. These funds will create both lasting and immediate change, just as previous contributions helped keep our fleet on the road and provided health-boosting exercise equipment.”
Next year marks the event’s 10th anniversary, and plans are already underway for the biggest and best Golf Day yet!
For those looking for another way to give back in 2025, ConnectAbility’s annual Wine and Dine event is this September 2025, with funds supporting opportunities across our Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes.
