Dancing to celebrate the 80s during our biggest disability support event yet!
Twice a year, our ConnectAbility Supports team gets together and organises a much-loved InterAgency Disco event for our community.
An exciting highlight for many of our customers and those of other disability support organisations, we are pleased to report the July 2025 disco was our biggest event yet!
The ConnectAbility team work hard to ensure our customers’ needs are met and days are brightened. After weeks of planning, this disco turned out better than even we had imagined! We were amazed to sell a record number of tickets and we were completely sold out a week prior to the event!
ConnectAbility’s CEO David Carey was thrilled with the turnout and the overwhelmingly positive feedback.
He shared: “Congratulations to the Community Disability team and all wonderful ConnectAbility staff who joined to support, dance and organise the biggest CA interagency DISCO at Club Macquarie.” Well done to our team leaders Laura Hinder, Natalie Ransom and Anthony Brown! You arranged a fabulous event with more than 200 people smiling and enjoying fabulous music and dancing!”
As well as vouchers and medals for best dressed, the team had arranged for DJ Chris from Majestic Music to play 80s tunes throughout the event. They reflected that judging the best dressed on the day was a difficult task given there were so many great outfits!
We’re so proud of the joy this event brings our community. A huge thank you to everyone who made it a success. We can’t wait to dance with you again soon!
